This modular design can grow and link via embedded magnetic connections, which allow for a multitude of configurations. The assembly is made with interlocking puzzle connections. I used 12mm MDF with a 3mm diameter bit to reduce the inner radius. Using a tolerance of 0.2mm allowed for a tight fit without needing to chisel out every corner 90°.
Thanks to all at Fablab for the helpful comments and suggestions!
